Hi, I’m Wayne, a Registered Social Worker with 17 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and communities through life’s challenges. I have worked with children, teens, adults, seniors, and 2SLGBTQIA+ clients, addressing a wide range of concerns, from mental health struggles to relationship challenges and addiction recovery—often during times of crisis.

I am passionate about creating a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and understood. I believe you are the expert of your own story, and I am here to partner with you to foster healing, growth, and meaningful change. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and genuine. I take a client-centered stance while integrating evidence-based practices to suit your unique needs.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and strengths-based approaches, drawing from ecological systems theory to understand your experiences within their broader context. I also hold advanced training in the Gottman Method (Level 2) for couples counselling and am currently completing training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to deepen my work with relationships.

I specialize in supporting men with issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, communication, grief, trauma, and anger management. I am also skilled in working with clients navigating infidelity, addiction, intellectual disabilities, and neurodiversity, as well as couples striving to rebuild connection and trust.

My background includes supporting individuals facing homelessness, food insecurity, financial stress, and complex social systems. I have worked with youth in detention centers, dually diagnosed adults in day programs, and families managing mental health and relationship struggles.

I understand that stepping into therapy can feel overwhelming—especially for men who may face societal pressures to “tough it out.” Having experienced my own path through therapy, I know the courage it takes to be vulnerable. I am here to create a supportive environment where you feel truly seen and empowered to make positive changes in your life.
Let’s work together to uncover the barriers holding you back, heal past wounds, and build a path toward the life you envision.
