I am a Master of Social Work graduate from Carleton University who joined the team after completing my MSW Placement with Connected Counselling Services in 2022. Raised in rural Northern British Columbia, I enjoy spending my free time writing, baking, and hiking. I am in the process of gaining my Yoga Teacher Training certification. I identify as a white, cisgender, queer woman.
In my work with clients, I engage in a trauma-informed, holistic practice with a feminist lens to provide a safe and comfortable environment for clients. I have experience working with survivors of sex trafficking and gender-based violence, mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression, neurodivergence, and trauma.
I aim to incorporate Trauma-informed CBT, DBT, EFT, IFS and mindfulness into my interventions with clients, acknowledging that each client holds a unique and individualized life story. I am trained in sex therapy. In my practice, I value authenticity, compassion, empathy, empowerment, and the development of coping skills and emotional regulation. I am an empathetic, compassionate counsellor with a special interest in relationship, sex & trauma therapy.
